
Introducing ClassWorks, RiverzEdge Arts Project’s new series of classes open to adults (ages 18+) interested in learning art and design skills for professional or personal growth.
Classes are scheduled for evenings and weekends to allow people with work or family commitments to participate. Classes are taught by our adult mentors, meaning you’ll learn from professional designers and artists working in the field. These classes are being offered through our Arts & Business Opportunity Center.
Our first series of classes, will focus on graphic design and web design. Computer-based classes are limited to 7 students per class, so be sure to register today to reserve your spot!

Digital Design Tools - Register Now (formerly Intro to Print Design)
Mondays, March 19th – April 23rd, 6:30 - 8:30pm, $240This 6-week course introduces students to industry standard design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. We’ll discuss each programs proper role in the world of design, and best practices for an organized digital workflow. Students will design a variety of projects and learn basic design concepts such as typography, color, hierarchy and composition. Completion of this course provides students with knowledge of design programs, an understanding of design concepts, and an increased vocabulary.
Introduction to Web Design * - Register Now
Wednesdays, March 21st – April 25th, 6:30 - 8:30pm, $240In the first half of this 6-week class, students will create a website design using Adobe Photoshop. We’ll cover topics such as usability, information architecture and website design best practices. In the second half of the class, students will learn the basics of HTML and CSS languages in order to start building their website designs for the web. Completion of this course provides students with an increased knowledge of design programs, an understanding of website design concepts, and a basic understanding of mark-up language.
* A basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop is required for this class. The Digital Design Tools class is a recommended prerequisite for students with no experience using Adobe Photoshop.A $25 administrative fee (per class) will be charge to students who register for a class and cancel.
